Short Stories - So, you've written your story and are ready to submit to us,
here's what you have to do
Please note that here at Rebel Books LLP we aim to give feedback on all submissions, so we would be really grateful if you could follow the guidelines below so our job is easier and your work gets the best possible chance to succeed.

Attach your story to an email and send it to rebelbooks@hotmail.com with the title of the anthology for which you are submitting in the heading. Please also list your favoured contact email address so that we can get back to you.
If you are accepted we will need your full name, address and contact details before we can send out the contract which will outline royalty payments and our obligations to each other. However if you would like to enquire about the contract, royalties or any other issue with us prior to this stage please use the contact us page.
We will aim to get back to you with our decision and some constructive feedback as soon as possible after the closing date for submissions. However please bear with us as we receive a lot of submissions so it may take a little more time.
If you are successful we will working closely with you to ensure that every book is as big a success as possible. Although we will carry out marketing on behalf of Rebel Books LLP, this will also be a big part of your responsibility as a writer and if you are successful we will give you as much support as possible
PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THIS TIME WE DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY IN ADVANCE FOR STORIES BUT PAY ROYALTIES ON SALES (THE PERCENTAGE DEPENDS ON THE AMOUNT OF STORIES IN THE ANTHOLOGY) AND WE PROVIDE A COMPLIMENTARY COPY OF THE ANTHOLOGY TO EVERY AUTHOR INCLUDED IN IT. YOU WILL RETAIN COPYRIGHT ALTHOUGH WE WILL REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO YEARS EXCLUSIVITY FOR YOUR STORY WITH NON-EXCLUSIVITY THEREAFTER, IF YOU WISH TO OFFER YOUR STORY ELSEWHERE DURING THE EXCLUSIVITY PERIOD YOU WOULD NEED OUR CONSENT WHICH WOULD NOT BE UNREASONABLY WITHHELD. WE ARE VERY NEW AND SMALL BUT ARE COMMITTED TO PROMOTING AND MARKETING OUR BOOKS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH OUR ONLINE BOOKSTORE AND OTHER ONLINE RETAILERS AND CAN BE ORDERED FROM BOOKSTORES. PRESENTLY WE MAINLY TARGET INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORES WITH A VIEW TO HAVING OUR BOOKS STOCKED IN CHAINS ONCE WE HAVE BUILT A SUFFICIENT CATALOGUE OF TITLES. WE ALSO PRIMARILY TARGET THE UK MARKET ALTHOUGH WE DO WISH TO TARGET OVERSEAS MARKETS IN THE FUTURE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US.
Unsolicited Manuscripts - So, your manuscript is ready and you want to submit to us, here's what you have to do
Here at Rebel Books LLP we aim to give feedback on all submissions, so we would be really grateful if you could follow the guidelines below so our job is easier and your work gets the best possible chance to succeed. Please note that due to the size of our business we would have to feel it was something we would be crazy to miss before we could publish it. A lot more work has to go into editing, publishing and marketing a novel and therefore if you are rejected this does not mean that your manuscript is not special so please continue to submit as there are places out there with enormous budgets who may be looking for someone just like you. If you would like us to consider your novel you should submit your synopsis, three chapters and an author bio (approx 50 words) to rebelbooks@hotmail.com and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible but due to the large number of manuscripts we receive we are no longer able at this time to specify a timescale.
